Halloween

Fall is near and Halloween is coming. To be well prepared for this big sugar party is easy and simple!

1-       A secure disguise:

• Avoid stumbling by wearing a short costume.

• Make-up is a good substitute for masks since those provide a limited vision which can be dangerous at night.

• Wearing comfortable shoes is recommended even if those don’t fit with the costume.

• Wearing a temperature wise costume is also a good idea.

• Prioritise a pale costume over a dark one and don’t hesitate to put fluorescent stickers on it. That way, you improve your chance of being seen.

2-       Before leaving the house:

• Plan the route and approximate the time it will take to do it.

• Never let your children leave alone. An adult or some friends (for older ones) should accompany them.

• Leave a flashlight with your kids; it’s always useful in dark alleys and on the streets.

• Before you let your child go, revise with him or her some basic security rules like; do not run in the street, do not zigzag from one side to another, cross the street at the intersection.

• Always stay outside a house, never get inside.

• Don’t go in any stranger’s car.

• Tell your children to wait before they eat any candies they collected, so you can supervise their intake.

3-       Parents that give candies:

• Clear of any obstacles your driveway, stairs and doorway.

• Be sure that nothing comes in contact with your candles’ fire.

• Finally, if you have to drive that night, be careful!
